Holy CDs

If If you get pinholes or flakes in the surface of CD-ROMs -- especially those with the very shiny surface and no label-side texture or logo on them -- you can patch the hole with a very flat piece of aluminum foil and either stick tape (bad idea, it usually causes more holes) or a CD label over the top to hold it in place. Shiny CDs always mean bad trouble in the future.
