Advanced Water Cooling

Back in the days when hard drives were really expensive, my roommate had a drive running his Fidonet BBS overheat so that it wouldn't read. He found that it would work as long as it stayed cool, so he pulled it out of the case, and put a big (open at the top) pot of water on top of the drive so that it would run.

For the next couple of months he had the "First Water Cooled BBS on the FidoNet".
